This weekend was Halloween (along with Mom's retirement extravaganza and Sar's car accident, both of which will be in later posts). Sandra (Scotty's long-time girlfriend) invited me and Mom to come along with her and the fam to go trick-or-treating.
Or, as Kayden says, twick-ohw-tweating.
They came over 40 minutes later than they had originally planned (Scott: "When Sandra says 5, she really means 6. You get used to it.") The babies (Kayden, 5 1/2 years, and Ava, 2 1/2 years) ate some food and then put on their costumes.
I don't wanna put on my hood yet!
Whatchu looking at, Sar? Ava was not sure if she liked me taking photographs or not.

Sandra: "Do you want a black nose or a red nose?" Ava: "Black nose. Blaaaack nose. Black nose!"

It's almost like seeing Chloe in the mirror! She knows it is her, but isn't positive. "Black nose!"

Extremely satisfied, because she got a black nose. Adorable.

Kayden was Snake Eyes, whatever that is. Apparently it's a ninja from some movie? This kid became more shy after putting on his costume, which is weird because he is definitely not afraid of the camera.

Kayden and Ava together
Ringing their first doorbell alone!
We had a very good time!
Mom and me, sneaking in a photo
There was one point where we heard what sounded like an idling motorcycle. The closer we got, we knew it had to be something larger than a motorcycle. We never would've guessed what passed by us!
Mom and Sandra, trying to stay warm in the Washington cold
Mom and her sippy cup of "water." I'll let your imaginations run wild about what was really in said sippy cup.

Kay-Kay and Ava smiling for the camera. Ava was very nervous her first few houses, but after she realized everybody was giving candy, she kept saying, "More! More!"

Ava waving bye to the tractor. "Bye bye, twactor! Byyyye twactor!" I think it looks like she's doing a Sic 'Em.

Great pictures, Sarah. LOVE your new camera and how you use it! This was such a perfect evening, from the company, to the costumes...to the weather. These babies are wonderful!
And the big babies aren't so bad, either!
Cutie pies -- from the youngest to the young to the older to the oldest!
