Airport

In the airport... I hate leaving Washington!

Hello, big beautiful chair!

What's the best part about having two jobs?

Deciding to buy accessories for your bedroom when they go on sale, just because!

That's right friends, I bought a papasan chair with an off-white canvas cushion for my bright teal room! I debated between a brown fabric and off-white canvas, but after putting it in my room, I know I made the right decision.

Shout-out to Sarah Martindale and her lovely boyfriend Jeff who graciously transported the chair in Jeff's truck (darn Toyota Corolla doors that wouldn't open two inches wider)! I'm very thankful for you two!

Forgive the lack of makeup, it's my "I'm sorry, I have tonsillitis and very little motivation today" look. :)

PS: Chloe's afraid of the chair. I love that cat.

Paisley!

After I painted my room, I knew I'd need a different lampshade cover.

I went to a store in Waco called Frankly Fabric for inspiration, just hoping for a white pattern with maybe some brown accents, when I found this beautiful paisley:

Isn't it perfect? I also made a pillow with green buttons (not pictured) for my bed, and I'll probably make a bolster pillow when I get my papasan chair (in progress). Yay!

New Room!

Here's some pictures of my painted room! For some reason, my ceiling line looks messed up in the first picture, but I promise it's nice and straight!

Although the TV makes this look ridiculously tacky, here is my wall art. Picture frames with no pictures. I kind of really really love it. Just saying.

And, just in case you thought the teal (ahem, embellished blue) was too much, here's what the other side of the room looks like. With my cream bedspread and my white side tables (my old IKEA LACK side tables painted bright white), I think it looks amazing! I'll have a hanging lamp on the right side of my bed once I find fabric to cover my bright red lamp shade that was once there. I'll also put some art above my bed if I can convince Nathan to make me a metal piece.
