Texas is beautiful.
Let me rephrase: Texas is beautiful in the fall.
Currently, it is 67 degrees outside, with a light breeze. Last night it was a balmy 54 degrees, and today there's a high of 87 degrees. Perfect.
It's like summer in Washington!
In other news, my life has been a pretty heavy rotation of running EEGs (I keep kicking myself for using an impulsive population, as scheduling a meeting time has proved an annoying challenge), taking classes (Perception and Assessment, both of which are steady), and hanging out with some wonderful people. My friend Liz was thrown off a horse a few weeks ago and so I've been making weekly trips to her place to visit since she's bedridden (once for her birthday celebration, once to drop off a DVD so she could use my streaming Netflix, and once for Margarita Monday with Casey). I also learned how to shoot a gun [pictures to come soon, when I'm on my own computer] with a bunch of friends from Casey's boyfriend Chance, who is this big, buff, cowboy hat-wearin', gun store-workin' Texan.
Needless to say, I've been all over the place recently.
Other than that, I've got no new information about my life! I'll put up some shooting pictures soon (or check me out on Facebook, as all my pictures are up there). It's now time for Perception class, then a birthday lunch for Nathaniel's 31st (old man Anderson keeps getting up there), then a Schizophrenia talk from a doctor (yay!) for our brown bag, and making a pie for movie night at Liz's tonight.
Love and miss you all!
