Thursday in iPhone pics

Thursday in iPhone pics (posted on Friday since Blogger was down for a while)

The day started out great, as Nick called from Kenya (not his real number, I think it's a calling card). I missed the call and he left a voicemail, but he called immediately back and I caught him. Days are better when they start out with Nick's voice.

Then my mom and I decided to take an impromptu Tacoma trip, as the weather was beautiful and I wanted to take some photos around PLU.

We did the Point Defiance Five-Mile Drive, which I used to run way back in the day when I trained for my half-marathons (that was 3-4 years ago, which feels like much longer).

"Don't fall off the cliff, the car keys are in your pocket!" -Mom

One of my favorite parts about the drive is that you have beautiful, unobstructed views of the Narrows.

We then went to downtown Tacoma to eat lunch at the Harmon. We also walked through the UW Tacoma campus and took some photos on the Chihuly Glass Bridge.

We then went to visit Sumerlin Larsen (one of my favorite PLU people ever) in the alumni house.

After our visit with Sumerlin, we walked around campus so I could take a few photos. I love this place.

Before heading home, we stopped at the Steele Street Forza where I wrote my undergraduate thesis (along with the 24hr coffee shop Bertolino's, but Forza was closer).

The weather was so pretty that we were able to take the top down!

We rushed home so I could see my biggest fan, Bryanna, sing in her elementary school choir concert (bottom row, far left).

After, my mom and I headed to Bryanna's sister Jaimie's high school softball game. It was cold!

They won (25-2) and she was the pitcher so she got the win. I can't believe I used to babysit her; she is so old now!

And that was my Thursday! How was yours?
