Two of my favorite people, Robert and Lauren, are about to have a baby!
And by "about," I mean I'm surprised Lauren hasn't popped already. She's technically due the 31st of this month, but this is their first baby and they had predicted she'd give birth two weeks early.
Anyway, Robert is a third year in my program (he's a social psychologist) and he is one of the most awesome people in the world. Both him and Lauren are absolutely hilarious, but also two of the sweetest people alive.
Because we're so excited for them (and because we I love babies!), Nick and I wanted to give a congratulatory gift for baby Quintin.
I saw something awesome on Pinterest (seriously, best website ever) and decided to adapt it to look like an ice cream sundae.
So cute, right?!
There are two pairs of socks hidden in the bottom, then three onesies rolled up to look like soft servce ice cream (I tried to see if I could ball them up, but it looked awful). I also taped the gift receipt on the inside of the spoon. In hindsight, I should've used a baby spoon, but I bought the onesies at Old Navy and didn't even think to make a trip to Walmart to grab the utensil.
And to top it all off, there's a gift tag in the form of a cherry.
We can't wait to meet baby Quintin, but in the meantime, pray for a safe birth and a healthy mom/baby!
