Today's Day 1 of the 15 Day Challenge!
Prompt for Day 1: Discuss your current relationship.
Considering I'm in love with the studliest man in the whole world, this should be an easy prompt! Nick and I met under arguable circumstances in the winter of 2009 (or early summer of 2010). Theories abound as to what our official first date was, as I don't recall ever being asked out, but we generally agree that we started dating late August and became official in early September (happy 1-year anniversary, love!).
After I realized he was attempting to date me, I gave in pretty quickly and we almost immediately fell in love (his first bold declaration of love: "I kinda, sorta love you...a little bit..."). Sweet, right?
Needless to say, I could not have asked for a better partner. Nicholas is intelligent, hilarious, supportive, and gorgeous. He has the most infectious laugh (one of these days, I'll get it on tape for you) and will make anyone who is left out immediately feel part of a group. He's a creative problem-solver, he can fix a flat bike tire in 15 minutes flat, and will dance with me even when music isn't playing.
Don't get me wrong, he's not a saint. He's messier than me, is extremely laid back, can't whistle at all, drives like a grandpa ("I follow the law!"), and loses his wallet or ID card on a daily basis. However Nick is always willing to communicate with me, letting me know when I annoy him (I'm pretty high-strung and I love to plan, so you can imagine how annoying I must be) and always in the most loving way. We get to share our lives together, eat together, pray together, and spend every day as best friends.
And it's wonderful.
