Guess what guys?! I went bike riding and I only left with some cuts, no bruises! And lots of dirty up my shorts!
I'm starting to realize why my mother said multiple times when I was a kid that I'd be a good actress...

I was asked to join a writing group as part of a pilot course in the Baylor Academy of Teaching and Learning. I was unsure how I'd like it before we met, but we got together and decided that we'd check in with our Writing Buddies daily to let them know if we did our writing or not (mine's Robert, new father to baby Quintin!). So far, I'm surprised how much of a motivator that is!

After my awesome Dr. Drew shout-out, I was tweeted by Smokey Bear (yes, not Smokey the Bear, contrary to my childhood beliefs; only YOU can prevent forest fires) and had a tweeting conversation with Keaton Simons, my new favorite singer (slash stepson of Eric Roberts). I asked Jessica if she could play some of his music on his show, and although her station didn't have any, he sent her some mp3s (totally fantastic) to give to her station manager. My life is complete.

I got to hear some of your tweeting stories too! Emma at Legally Lovely received a tweet from Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel, but is hoping Justin Bieber will tweet her back sometime. My friend Shauna from life.love (and a former RJH cheerleader with me!) has tweeted with Principal Figgins from Glee a few times, MK tweeted back and forth with Suzy Welch after a talk she attended, and both Lauren and Sarah are followed by Britney Spears. Britney Spears! I also randomly found out my dad got on the local television show when he was 6 because he won a contest for wiggling his ears. Awesomeness runs in my family.

Laur's blog OK Lauren was overhauled and now has a new design and favicon (I didn't know that was the word until she referenced it specifically)! The design is great, but I couldn't get over how adorable her favicon was...so I made one of my own! After using this handy tutorial, I made my new favicon. If you don't know what that is, go look at my URL in your browser.

I'm 98.45% positive I'm finally going to beat my mother in Words with Friends. If you've ever played Scrabble with my mom, you'd know this is a big deal.

I think all weeks should have 4-day weeks and 3-day weekends. I like them better.
Overall this week is wrapping up pretty nicely. How was your week?

So THAT'S why you're dragging that game out!?! Seriously, you also poured salt in that open wound by telling my evil sister here! No doubt this will prompt her to repost a story or picture (yes, evidence exists) of the infamous "Thrashing on the Danube" incident just a few months ago. Oh, the agony!
Haha congratulations on winning {or almost winning} Words with Friends! And Britney Spears follows me too :) I have no idea why though...
Hope you have a fabulous weekend my dear!
xoxo,
Joelle
I must agree that short weeks are awesome! But I get all mixed up with what day it is. Thanks for the shoutout :) Have a great weekend!
I'm sort of in love with your facial expression above. It's wonderful, and yet I feel so sorry about your pain. I'm torn on the wonderfulness vs. horror of it all.
You have helped me realize how influential I am - on Britney (b/c I feel like I should be on a first name basis with her now) and in the flavicon department.
Speaking of which, I am sort of extremely devastated that I do not see squigglies up above... It has the Blogger symbol. What has Blogger done to your flavicon???? I demand it gives in to your wishes and displays it right this second. Unacceptable!
Until next time, bestie ;) Haha
Evil sister here ... yes, that was indeed a Debacle on the Danube: 3 games, 3 wins! I totally understand the "big deal", Sarah, because we have to enjoy the rare wins in our loving rivalries with your mom.
