I went sailing for the first time with Nick, his brother, and sister-in-law yesterday (hence why this is a Friday morning edition; I was busy all day!). I haven't had a chance to edit any of the photos yet, but it was a beautiful day and I can't wait to show you how much fun we had!

Today is fall break, which means students don't have class. "Fall break" means little to graduate students, however, as after I finish this post, I'm going to edit a colleague's paper. Wah wah.

The response to [life of love]'s first Sar + Nick vlog was insanely positive on our blog, Twitter, and Facebook. Thanks to all who left comments, tweeted, and let us know how much you enjoyed it. I think you may have convinced Studly McDreamyEyes to make another video with me at some point.

October in Texas is like summer in Washington. I miss home.
That being said, it's time for our favorite Friday link-up!
[one] The most selfless thing I've ever done was... it's hard to think of selfless things, mostly because altruism isn't real (e.g. I could do a good dead, which some people see as altruism, but I get a good feeling after I do it, which means it's not selfless). I have no idea.
[two] When it comes to working out... I would rather have fun working out (like mountain biking or Zumba) than working out simply for the sake of exercising.
[three] A woman should always... wear frilly underwear. I can't imagine having a bad day when you know you have frilly underwear on. My days are infinitely better when I wear frilly underwear.
[four] I wish I could... have an unlimited supply of money and then I'd... be able to have a lot more flexibility in life.
[five] A best friend is... someone who is willing to listen to you complain about your bad days, celebrate your good days, and be there for all the days in between.
[six] I can't get enough of... Starbucks Sundays/coffee and love.
[seven] This weekend I am... going to my friend Sarah's bridal shower. I got the cutest gift and I cannot wait to give it to her!

Okay see as a former Psych student, I have it ingrained in me that nothing is ever truly selfless either. Ooooh well, at least they're benefitting other people more sometimes, right?
LOVE frilly underwear. I get in trouble for buying underwear more than anything else - opps! Well, okay, and cute VS Pink sweats.

i agree, it was very hard for me to think of something that was selfless. i put forgiveness, bc sometimes it takes a lot to forgive someone who has hurt you.
& i am obsessed with frilly undewear. i HAVE wayyyy to many paris & just want more. ahha
& lots of money would be key to lots of problems, but then it would cause it own world of problems. funny how that works.

I can't wait to see the sailing post, sounds fun. My mom used to have a boyfriend that lived on his sailboat. He'd spend half the year in Oregon and the other half in California.

As for 'Fill in the blank Friday', I really like/agree with #3 (frilly underwear making anyone's day better) and#4 (money can't buy happiness, but it sure can buy relief and vacations).
