My amazing mother's birthday was on Tuesday, and although I didn't write about it on my blog, be assured that I left a voicemail of me singing Happy Birthday entirely too early. She ended the day eating cake with the cutest kids in the entire world. Needless to say, I'm missing home extra this week.

I just took off my headphones and mine and Christopher's song was playing in the coffee shop. I like to think that it's his way of saying he's thinking about me. How fitting, as I was just watching a video about him earlier this morning.

Speaking of academia, this week I was reading articles trying to spark my brain for good dissertation ideas, and I ran across an article that cited a paper that I co-authored. It was the first time this happened on accident, and I feel so accomplished. Awesome.

iOS5 = I want it. I'm scared of it. Same boat as you. Obviously I have yet to do it... I think more out of laziness than anything else though since I have to hook it up to my home computer.

Poor Kate, no one is ever truly alone in that - it's all perception!! Hope she feels all the love coming her way and that it changes her life and she realizes she is SO special - because without even meeting her, I know it.
I thought that iOS5 deleted all my contacts, but I stored them in the "cloud" and now they're back, but with all of my husband's contacts too, which is strange and kind of annoying...
And I'm not sure who Christopher is, but I read your post about him and I am so very sorry for your loss. But I'm glad you got to hear your song today :)
And thanks for posting the link about Kate. I got the email this morning, but it really is such an important thing to do. So thank you for that!
