Nick now has three medical school interviews down and who knows how many to go (at least one, hopefully more)! Pray (or cross your fingers, if that's more your sort of thing) that he gets into the best fit school for him!

It has gotten blustery in CenTX! I finally had to turn on the heat in my house this morning, but considering it's December 1st, I feel as if it's justified. Still, brrr!

Have I mentioned that Chloe can play fetch? It's all fine, dandy, and adorable until she wakes me up at 3am by jumping on my pillow and playing with a rubber band she pulled out of my purse. I blame myself for ever teaching her that stretchy things are fun to play with. Good thing she's cute...

My "second mom" Cheryl (my mother's bestie) sent me her version of a magnetic advent calendar last night that she made using my directions. Doesn't it look great?

Speaking of advent calendars, my mom spent 3 minutes arguing with me over whether my calendar was on the "front" or the "back" of the cookie sheet. Even though I made them both, my mom insisted I was incorrect. I'm blogging this because she finally conceded that I was right, which almost never happens and thus I needed a record.

It's December! So close to seeing family! Not that I'm counting down or anything (only 23 days)!

Remember how my professor randomly went to Libya a few weeks ago? Apparently he's going again tomorrow for 10 days, and I only found out because I heard from another student then asked him about it. He said he told all the other graduate students (who are male) in my lab. I don't know whether to be annoyed (gender bias?) or excited that he thought I could handle myself for the next 10 days.
Happy Thursday! How's your day today?

Prayers for Nick for sure!! Hahaha that's too funny that Chloe jumped on your pillow to play :) I think that advent calendar is so cute! Haha you're too funny about your mom :) Happy Thursday!
Give your mom a break -- she's only been wrong ONE time so far in 2011 and we're already 11/12 through the year. Not too bad ... if only her Scrabble success was so spectacular...
I love that text conversation. Yall are just lovely together :)
Yay for my mom's calendar making your blog! :)
Yesss fresh prince!!
Your advent calendar is awesome! Love it. Praying for Nick! He'll be great :)
We're moving to SA because my husband got a new job as an engineer at SWRI. We're in OK right now, so it'll def be a change!
Oh, and I put a "Follow me on Pinterest" button on my blog. I feel super legit now.

Good luck to Nick, I'm sure he'll do great and everything will be as it should. I also cannot wait to go see my family, and to be on the Oregon coast once again. Now I have to work my fingers to the bone crocheting presents before the 25th rolls around!
