Happy Starbucks Sunday, friends!
It's a gorgeous day in Waco, TX so this edition is coming to you a little late. Who could pass up the opportunity to spend time outside in this beautiful January weather?
This weekend has been full of non-productivity (whoops...), unless you count cleaning and laundry (which I usually don't, as those are things that just have to get done). Regardless, I'm currently at Starbucks, just about to finish a draft of a paper to send to my major professor, so I think I've made up for the hours I've spent trying to make the Million Club in Temple Run. Don't ask.
Other awesomeness that happened today:
My parents were in the local paper back at home! Check it out here. Basically, they're wonderful people who still hold hands and skip (when my mom has two good hips, anyway), only bicker when dad's not wearing his hearing aids, and are amazing marriage role models for all.
Also, Chelsea is home! From what her mother tells me, they left her gall bladder in because they didn't think that was the source of her problems. The doctor said she couldn't go home until she ate food and took pain pills orally, so she shoved down some applesauce and then swallowed a pill. Then, she went home and it all came back up. When that occurred, Chels said she knew that it was going to happen, but she couldn't spend one more day in the hospital. If you know Chelsea, you know that is hilariously indicative of her stubbornness. Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts! Let's all hope for a quick recovery and that the doctors can figure out what's going on so she can return to chemo.
Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Nick has his Harvard interview on Tuesday, so I won't actually see him until Wednesday evening (I'm paying for all those times where I complained about not having enough alone time!).
Hope you all have a great end to the weekend, and a happy Chinese New Year!

Love you sweetheart! Thanks for rubbing our collective noses in that gorgeous weather...NOT. Am ready for our weather to turn from cold rain to warm rain!
I love Wally and Liz! :) And Chelsea, too. Been thinking about her an awful lot.
80's in January? You lucky ducky! :b
Not 81 here but we're actually enjoying the rain. We finally got Ed's car up our street yesterday and a newspaper actually delivered to our house today!!
That is so cute about your parents, I want to be like them! And I'm glad to hear about your bff, I'll keep her and her family in my prayers! Enjoy starbucks :)
I cannot grasp that it is in the 80's... It's winter in Texas too, right? Texas is still in the northern hemisphere, right? What's going on!?
I want Starbucks now ;)
Jealous of your weather! Cold and rainy weather is bringing. me. down. Trying to pretend I like it today. We'll see how that goes ;)
I'm so glad to hear that your friend is doing well. Thanks for the update!
I need to download this Temple Run, I keep hearing great things about it. Or maybe that it's just addictive, same thing.
Aww yay for your parents :)
YAY for Chelsea being home!! :)
Also, I'm pretty jealous of the warm weather by you. So not cool.
