Thursday thoughts v.1

”Life

Happy Thursday friends!

I've decided to make Thursday Thoughts a weekly link-up for a few reasons: 1) It's an easy blog post, 2) No story or coherence is necessary, and 3) So many of you do it anyway!

The rules are simple: write down a few things you've been thinking this week, and then link up below so that others can read what you've shared, too! Right click and save the photo above if you want to use one, or make your own! Easy peasy, right?

[one]
Spending time with both Nick and my fam these past two weeks have been absolutely glorious. I don't want to leave the northwest, although I really miss Chloe (especially 'cuz my mom's kitties most definitely have personality disorders).

[two]
We went and saw Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol last night, and holy moly, Tom Cruise is getting old. The need for speed with Tom has finally caught up to him.

[three]
Thanks to Jena, I am now in love with Temple Run and I can't stop playing Jetpack Joyride (it's a Halfbrick game, the same peeps who made Fruit Ninja). Nothing like time off from school to make you become really good at iPhone games.

[four]
Have I ever told you guys why Nick and I refer to ourselves as "Team Salt Lake"? Contrary to what my brother believes, we're not Mormon (have you hugged a Presbyterian today?). Nick's last name is Saltarelli, and mine is Lake--hense Salt Lake. Our witty friend Emily came up with our mixed name, and we've called ourselves that ever since. At dinner last week, my brother (whose last name is also Lake, mind you) noticed Nick wasn't drinking alcohol and commented on his Mormonism, and we were confused until we realized he thought Salt Lake was referring to Utah.

[five]
Revenge is back, and all I can say is YAY!

[six]
I took Nick to his first Trader Joe's earlier this week and tried to convince him to let me buy 2-buck Chuck so he could try it. He insisted that $2.49 wine couldn't be good, but I promised him it was a tradition. He didn't go for it.

What are you thinking about today?

So glad it's a weekly link-up now! =) So he never drank the 2-buck chuck? I swear it's the best wine - and so nice on the wallet!

Also excited that Revenge is back. Can't wait until ep. 15 when we find out WHO was shot on the beach!

Haha we saw Ghost Protocol last week and loved it! He's getting a little old, but we both thought it was a great movie anyway!

Joelle

Sarah. You must convince Nick to try 2 buck Chuck! We have a Trader Joe's by us now and I literally buy a case of their cabernet at a time. So. Good. Also, refer him to this Slate article:

Glad you're having fun in the PNW!

I want a Trader's Joe so I can get 2 buck Chuck. I would be able to buy more wine then!

And MI4 was good. But I agree - Tom is getting a little old. We saw it several weeks ago with my in-laws, and my MIL tried to convince me Tome Cruise was hot. I disagreed.

We don't have that wine here (can't sell alcohol in grocery stores in both VA & MD!) so I'm super bummed because that picture makes it look really good - and especially since it's $2.49! I don't care how it tastes, I would drink it all the time! :)

The 'Salt Lake' story with your brother CRACKED me up! Seriously, I love that someone with the same last name didn't pick it up! So funny :)

I'm so happy you're having fun in WA! Can't wait to hear more about your adventures! Love you!

When do you head back to good ol' Texas? I wouldn't want to really go back either.

I LOVE Trader Joe's. I'm so sad they don't have any in OK. Stupid alcohol laws ruining everything. If they change those, I bet we could get some TJ sweetness in the state - 2 buck chuck and all :)

Bahaha 2 buck Chuck :) It is good!

I always wondered about your nickname, I figured Nick's last name must have Salt in it, but that's funny about your brother's thoughts haha.

So glad you made it a link up! And I LOVE Trader Joes. You reminded me I need to head out there more often! (ours is unfortunately not that close to our house. booo.)

I'm so happy you've decided to do this link up! :-)

Nick - come on man, you gotta get the Two Buck Chuck! It's seriously better than you think! I've seen it at MANY weddings and it's a hit every time :-) It was the drink of choice when my hubby and I lived with our best friends.

I'm just finally glad they built a Trader Joe's here in Spokane!!! :-)

And I definitely love how "Team Salt Lake" came to be! ;-)

HAPPY THURSDAY SAR! :-)

Thanks for the sweet comments "Sar." :) I am so glad that people actually enjoy reading my blog. I got discouraged for a while but I am picking up steam again!

This link up is cute and I may just try it out next week if that's ok with you!

New follower--excited to see what the next post brings :)

Don't all cats have personality disorders? :)

Ha ha! You love Temple Run. Wahoo! I downloaded JetPack but have yet to play it. Temple Run is frustrating cause you have to start over when you mess up once. Maybe I just need to get better. ;)

Gonna have to try to link up with you next week, friend.
