ABL Photoshoot!

Do you remember when I told you about how Nick and I won a photoshoot in early February because of a love story that I wrote? We just got our photos back from the day! Below are some of our favorites.

(All photos are watermarked with my name because I don't know who the original photos were taken by--I can't remember the girl's name for the life of me, but she was an undergraduate at Baylor in the Photography Department. I just don't want to post the photos un-watermarked after all the Pinterest controversy with copyright!)

This is Elizabeth Barrett Browning's Sonnet 43, the poem in which we were supposed to use in writing our love story. How do we love thee? Apparently enough to win the contest!

These are both inside the main floor of the Armstrong Browning Library.

The library has these huuuuge bronze doors that each weigh three quarters of a ton! Each of the panels are depicting a Robert Browning poem, topped with a line from Sordello, "Would you have your songs endure? Build on the human heart!"

We did what Team Salt Lake does best: have fun! The sweet photographer captured this fun in the following two photographs:

At the end of the photoshoot, we went outside and took some photos in the natural light. (Since the library is also a museum, flash photography isn't allowed and thus a bunch of the photos taken inside weren't as great as the outside photos turned out to be.)

I love the way they turned out! Just thought you guys would want to see them.

Happy Saturday friends! What are you doing this weekend?

This is so precious! You two are just adorable.

And, randomly, I'm not the biggest poetry fan, but I recently listened to a "Stuff you missed in history class" podcast about Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning, and I just loved their love story. So sweet! I might need to go pick up a book of one of their's soon :)

You look beautiful my dear, and I hope you have a great weekend!

xoxo,
Joelle
