Dear Monday v.21

Linking up with Megan for another round of...
Dear Monday, I'm a little angry at you because all public systems and workplaces have the day off, and yet Baylor doesn't believe in government holidays. Wah wah. Luckily, you've been productive so far so I'll let it go.

Dear Love, You were out of town all last week for your Stanford SOM interview and then birthday celebrations with your family in Dallas. You came back to the house decorated, and you said "What's this for?" You're ridiculous and I love you.

Dear Weekend, Since Nick was gone, I decided to spend you the best way I know how: white wine and Jimmy John's. I just recently found out that JJ's has permanently removed sprouts from their menu due to some sprout-related E. coli breakouts. The horrible part is that my favorite sandwich (#6) is the vegetarian, so losing sprouts means the sandwich is just cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumber. Not good enough, JJ's, not good enough.

Dear Baylor's SING, I'm glad I got to see you this weekend! The largest student production at Baylor, you're probably one of my favorite BU traditions. During SING, sororities, fraternities, and a small number of non-Greek groups spend countless hours singing, choreographing, and preparing for six performances. It's basically broadway, but with a theme, costumes, and a 7-minute restriction. Go here to see a sorority's example (fast forward towards the end and you can see the magnitude of how many people they cram on stage) or here to see a fraternity (Court's husband is in this one!).

Dear FaveyPants (who always gets two letters a la Todays Letters), Yesterday when you were driving home from Dallas, you stopped in West at the Czech Stop to pick me up two cream cheese kolaches. Your thoughtfulness constantly surprises me. I'm grateful for you.

Happy Monday friends! How was your weekend? Did you get the day off?

I wasn't totally surprised by the lack of sprouts... They had them just two weeks ago, but I also noticed no sprouts when I made hubs grab me a #4 after I saw your tweet (you influencer, you). I didn't mind since I have to ask for mine without sprouts while pregnant anyway, because they're hard to clean and the ecoli thing. I did have to pass on the wine part though, darn.

Mmm kolachis are the best :) My mom makes them all the time, but cream cheese are my fave and she never makes those!!

I miss Jimmy John's! I haven't tried their vegetarian one yet, but once I get back to the states, you bet I'll get my hands on one. ;)

This weekend was wonderful for us. We did get Monday off, so we did lots of shopping! Win win.
