Thursday Thoughts v.6

Happy Thursday friends!

You know the drill by now: write down a few things you've been thinking this week, and then link up below so that others can read what you've shared, too! Right click and save the photo above if you want to use one for the Thursday Thoughts link-up or make your own!

Last night, I did my first drive-by love note attack on Nicholas while he was at work. I happened to be driving by because I had just gotten dinner with a friend (he works outside of town) so I figured while I was there, I'd leave him a little love note of surprise. Nick and I both love gift getting and words of affirmation (hello, Love Languages), so the Printstagram photos have been valuable.

I got to catch up yesterday with a friend I haven't seen in a year or so, and it was glorious. There's something about catching up with a friend that feels comforting, as if you know they're still thinking of you even though you haven't gotten to see them in a while.

Chelsea text messaged me yesterday! I haven't gotten to talk to her since before she was admitted to the hospital, so it was a nice surprise. She's finally on a low enough dose of pain killers to stay awake during the day, which means she was able to text and catch up. Thank you so much for all your prayers, because I'm positive you all helped tremendously. God is good.

A man I went to high school with, Brian, just got accepted into Baylor's HHPR Masters in Sports Pedagogy program. He emailed me out of nowhere (the last time I got to see him was probably our sophomore year in college) and asked me some questions about Baylor. Whether or not he decides to accept the admission, I'm so excited to possibly have another Washingtonian-turned-Baylor Bear in the midst!

Yesterday Studly McDreamyEyes and I had our photoshoot at the Armstrong Browning Library for our second place win in the How Do You Love Thee? Baylor Libraries contest. I cannot wait to see how they turned out, mostly because we did a handful of jumping photos and even took a Heisman pose in the middle of the huge gorgeous foyer with a stained glass portrait in the background. Awesome.

I can't wait to see how the photos turned out too!

Heck yes for Love Languages. We need to revisit, 'cause I think mine may have changed since Lizzy was born. Weird?

I totally know what you mean about catching up with friends. For me, I like knowing that even though I might not get to stay in touch as much as I want, certain friendships stay intact. There's A LOT of comfort in knowing you have friends like that!

Congrats to your friend.
Also, I think you should make a little link up button for this.
