Thursday Thoughts v.8

Happy Thursday friends!

You know the drill by now: write down a few things you've been thinking this week, and then link up below so that others can read what you've shared! Right click and save the photo above if you want to use one for the Thursday Thoughts link-up, or use your own!

Yesterday I guest-blogged over on Jena's blog, and today I wrote up a little post for Meghan since she's away all weekend. Go check it out here!

[two]
Check out the sunrise this morning. Hello, gorgeousness!

[three]
Actually, the weather all week has been absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, I went running yesterday afternoon and actually had to sit in my house with the windows open because I was so warm when I got back. If only it was mid-70s all year-round...

[four]
Did I tell you guys that my mom got a new hip last week?! She's apparently healing so well that the physical therapist told her not to overdo it. Go leave her a word of encouragement on her blog!

[five]
Have you guys noticed how Blogger changed the captchas when people try to comment? The old ones were obnoxious but I haaaaate the new ones. I tried to leave a comment on a blog yesterday and apparently entered wrong words three times. Seriously?! I would love you forever if you got rid of this annoyingness. Please? You should be able to go to dashboard, then settings, then comments, and click "no" where it says "show word verification for comments." Pretty please?

Apparently both Becky and Bon Bon agree! You should too!

Did you make a sacrifice for Lent? Are you a Lent-follower? My writing cohort and I decided to do 40 Days of Dissertation where we promise to dedicate ourselves to our document/research for the entirity of Lent. If you've ever written a dissertation, you understand how much of a sacrifice this truly is. Wish us luck!

What are you thinking this Thursday? Link up here:

I'm totally jealous of your weather.

And also, I gave up desserts for Lent...and I've already been tempted to give in!

That's a pretty awesome dedication for Lent!

Um also, super jealous of your weather. Yeah. We have snow.

And yes, I haaaaateeee the new captchas even more than the old ones!! Ridiculous.

Have a good day :)

Oh man 70's - I dream! I hate that word thing - it seriously stops me from commenting sometimes. I have a two try rule. Why are they making so hard? (And why won't people get rid of it??)

What a great photo of the sun coming up. Sadly, I'm already behind a computer screen at work by the time the sun comes up.

The new captchas...HATE them more than ever!

The temps have been great in SoCal. I think it was about 78 yesterday :)

My mom is in the home stretch of her dissertation right now. She's hoping to defend and then graduate this semester. Yikes!! I'm giving up candy for Lent, NOT an easy task with all the great candy that shows up on my doorstop from Germany every month but I would choose that over a dissertation anyday. Even editing dissertations saps it out of you. I want to cry every time my mom sends me hers, and it's almost the final product.

LOVED the weather yesterday. Even today it's nice. You've got about 10 degrees on us though for the next few days because we'll be in the 50s. Sigh. I just never can get behind winter - I'd like to head straight to late Spring.

I went through the whole captchas process to ensure that if we needed to discuss macaroni again we could do so without the burdens of those little beasts!

We have a wind advisory which means this kid is going to do Zumba and not run outside.

You make me want to go to Baylor, it was one of my top two schools back when I was a biomedical engineering major, now I teach English just saying :) I just wasn't sure if I would like Waco!

Keep up the lenting and disertating :) <--that's the English degree!

LOVE reading your blog! Your sense of humor and love for your "studly mcdreamy eyes" (at least I think that's what you refer to him as) is so refreshing and sweet!
Stop by and visit mine if you get the chance!

I'm sorry...I'm definitely one of those captcha enforcers. I'm terrified of getting hacked AGAIN so that's why I have mine activated.

Didn't give anything up for Lent this year! haha!

Loved your guest post on Meghan's blog! But I'm thinking the PNW needs you back ;-)

Oh, how I hate word verification! I had to go through like 5 different versions yesterday to comment on a post. So annoying!

Greatest thing about TX, fo sure! :) And I totally agree. Sometimes I won't even comment because of that dumb word verification. Take it off, people. It's not that hard!

I did some "Friday Letters" today - hope it's okay that I linked up to this :)

The caption capcha is HORRIBLE. I agree. I cannot read it...at all. UGH.

I'm following you via GFC now because I think you're great! I'm coming from the lovely blog of Holly!

I want some cold weather. It's that warm here in FL...ick. I'm not a fan.

Happy Friday!! oxox

Hello girly! No worries about the comment mix-up. I really had no idea what you were talking about! {And googled what captcha meant!} Figured it out, had read your TT post so I made sense out of it. But no worries! And good on ya for doing lots of work for your lent journey. xo
