Dear Monday v.26

Linking up with Megan for
Dear Monday, Thank you for being the most gorgeous weather possible in Central Texas: sunny at 60-80ยบ. Please stay like this forever.

Dear Friday Night, The last time I had a girls' night for "no" reason was far too long ago. Thank you to Cathy who surprised me by paying for our pedicures! Your compassion knows no bounds.

Dear Bearathon runners, You're so inspirational! Having run two half marathons myself (one being a great experience, the other ultimately forcing me to have emergency surgery), it was a blast to watch you push yourselves to the limit. Special shout-outs to Jessica, Megan J., Megan H. and her mama, Natalie, and Nora who are total badasses!

Dear Mother Nature, Saturday's afternoon sky was almost exactly how I picture it in my mind: gorgeous, with fluffy clouds and perfect weather. God's beauty shows up so often that sometimes I forget to appreciate it, so thank you!

Dear Writing Log, I am dominating you! This is probably not cool for anybody who isn't a graduate student, but for someone who always thought her productivity needed a push, you were exactly the tool to help.

Dear neon pink Target sports bra, You're amazing. I don't think I've smiled so much while wearing an article of clothing! You make me want to run every day just as an excuse to wear you.

Dear Nick, A week without you has been rough, to say the least. Hope you know I still carry all the love in the world for you and am always here if you need me.

Dear Hunger Games (the book), I didn't love you as much as everybody else seems to, but I thought your plot was brilliant. I ended the book feeling like you were lacking, but multiple people told me to stick with it because the plot thickens and the writing becomes more substantial. Here's hoping.

Happy Monday friends! Did you have a good weekend? What'd you do?

Favorite part of this post- the diet coke can you're proudly sporting getting the feet done!

Have the same hot pink sports bra! I find myself wanting to go running just to wear it..but end up not wearing it because I love it so much I don't want to get it sweaty. It's a confusing situation for me.

And your writing log makes me realize that THAT is why I probably couldn't be a a grad student :) Keep it up!

First, I'm loving that photo from your pedicure...spokesperson for Coke, maybe? ;-)

Second, that hot pink bra is ridiculously AWESOME! I love sports bras...mostly because I crack up laughing because I always mention how it looks like I have a "uni-boob" - gotta love my bad jokes! LOL!

HAPPY MONDAY SAR! :-)

Anything in hot pink is fantastic!
And I have to agree - please weather stay this way!
I didn't do the half-marathon (but I'm planning on it!); I did the 5k though and loved it! It helped me remind how beautiful our campus is.
And yes, keep with The Hunger Games! I have the next two books if you need to borrow them!

The way you wear your heart on your sleeve is admirable! PLUS your pink sports bra is wicked. Have a great week!

Aunts Barb and Linda were here yesterday when you called to tell me about buying the new pink sports bra. Hilariously, they both thought I said "new pink sports car", because they couldn't imagine you would call just to talk about buying a new bra! Since they both only had boys, I guess they just don't understand the excitement mothers and daughters share regarding new underwear and lingerie...even sports bras! As always, LOVE you much.

I love that there's a tool to log writing progress. I'll keep that in mind for grad school (which I'm putting off for as long as possible).
I hope you have a wonderful week! :)

Whatever that excel document is, it is amazing, and I feel like I need to learn this magic organizational thing before I start a PhD program!

Also, I thought the first Hunger Games book was actually the best. And I am excited to hear what you think :)

your writing log and pink sports bra are legit, Sar!! Love both!!!

Can I just say that your writing log is amazing and inspirational? I finished grad school last year but I'm wishing I had done something like this with my research project!

Thank you for reminding me of my desperate need of a pedicure. Seriously. Also, I love those target sports bras. I have a few of the tye-dye ones. Because they're awesome. :)

Yeah..definitely almost got that same bra. Instead I got black...but I want that pink one way more.

Yay for pedicures!

You're awesome :)

Southern CA has had just as nice as weather as you're describing. I'm totally loving it.

Yay for free pedicures & awesome friends! That bright pink sports bra is making me smile by just looking at it haha. I totally get why it put you in a good mood. I think I might need one :)

You have no idea how refreshing it is to know not everyone adored The Hunger Games book. I've heard so many great things about it & it's actually stopped me from reading it because I rarely like the popular books.

Holy cow-- that writing log looks so organized and awesome!! I should've done something like that while I was in school!!

And yes-- the Hunger Games trilogy gets even better. I just finished the second book, and it was 10x better than the first. Keep with it!

I totally have a neon pink sports bra too! Yay! You've already done two half marathons? Go you! I doubt I'm going to be able to run my first one, but I'm certainly going to try!

Did you just finish the first Hunger Games or all three? I felt like the last one left something to be desired but not the first two
