Thursday Thoughts v.18

Happy Thursday friends! You know the deal: write down a few things you're thinking today and then link up below so we can all read what's on your mind! Right click and copy the photo above, or use your own.

How is it already Thursday?! Since it's finals week over here at Baylor, I forget what day it is--and I like it. On the agenda for the rest of the week: grade the finals this morning with the other TAs, a clinical assessment tomorrow, and complete my dissertation computer paradigm. Winning!

[two]
I have been running like a mad woman, and I've finally been consistently getting a 10min/mile for 2-3 miles. I know this sounds like lamesauce to anybody who is actually a runner, but it's awesome to me!

[three]
This weekend is Christopher's birthday, Cinco de Mayo (and Court's birthday), and the Kentucky Derby. Do you have any plans to celebrate any of these holidays? I'm going to a Cinco de Mayo derby party right after Liz's lingerie shower, so it will be a full weekend!

[four]
I may have stumbled across an academic job at a university as an adjunct professor. Nothing's official yet, but it's pretty serendipitous and amazingly timed.

Pretty short post today because it's been a nice and easy week! Here's hoping your week was similar. What are you thinking today? Link up and tell us!

It feels like it should be Friday--I kept forgetting all week what day it was!

WOOO for the 10 minute mile!! That's seriously amazing!!! I'm around a 12 minute mile because I'm still not the greatest runner, but I'm working on keeping it below 12. Seriously though, 10 mins is so great :) Congrats!

I'll think of Christopher this weekend! I'll be with some of my camp friends on Saturday to celebrate a little after my 5K!

Oooo yay for the possible new job!! Keep us posted!

Happy weekend :)

Seriously, 10 minute mile is great! Even when I had time to be consistent with my running, I kept it around an 11 min/mile.

Sure other people were passing me up like crazy, but I just kept telling myself, "I'm running. I'm keeping myself healthy. I may never be as fast as they are, but I'm doing it."

I agree....good job on your running!!!! I woke up this morning, certain today was Friday. I don't know why this week feels like it should already be over! Wishful thinking I guess. :)

Hey! I came across your blog some time ago and decided to participate in the Thursday Thoughts when I finally started one of my own.

As someone who is trying to get back into running, I think a 10 minute mile is awesome!

Cheers!

Okay a 10-min mile seems amazing to me. I cannot run to save my life and it's something that I am going to try to ease into once my body is my own again.

I'm celebrating Cinco with a massage. Maybe I can sneak a nap in too. A girl can dream... ;)

So you're talking about OU, right?! Haha, kidding, but I mean I wouldn't complain.
