It's been incredibly hot here, so in true Southern fashion, we had a crazy thunder and lightening storm today from all the built-up heat. I don't mind them usually, although the loudest thunder crack woke Chloe and me up at 6am. So, that's nice.
[two]
I got to see Mr. Jordan LaBouff on Tuesday and it was amazing (all that was missing was Mrs. LaBouff!). We got to catch up, drink beer, and laugh uncontrollably during way too many inside jokes. I seriously need to move to Maine because I feel like Texas is starting to lack in the friend department.
[three]
I leave for the Dallas/Fort Worth area today for the weekend for Joanna's wedding! I am excited to share in yet another bestie's celebration of love, plus who doesn't love dancing the night away? I've gotta say, although I'm super excited, I'm kind of relieved that this is my last wedding for the summer.
[four]
I know it's only been two days, but I've decided that I don't like not teaching at 8am. Because this is a summer term, my course is from 9:45-11:15am, so by the time it's over, the whole day feels like it's gone! I know that I still have 8:00-9:30am to work on other things, but it just feels wrong. Maybe it will turn me into a noon lunch eater instead of an 11am-er.
That's all I have today because I spilled my guts on Tuesday!

I know what you mean. I have a 9:30-11 am class, and by the time it's over I feel like it's lunchtime already :( Hopefully the course doesn't last all summer (not sure what Baylor's summer schedule is like) and you can get back to your normal routine! Happy Thursday!

I am going to be right where you are soon as a lot of my friends are starting to rotate out of the area. Sucks.
Also, I think 6 am is too early for thunder. It would probably give me a heart attack.

I'm the same way you are about weddings. I love them and love going to them, but I'm in overload during the summer.
I'm not a fan of hot weather rain, it's like a bad joke since my brain is trained to think rain = cold.

I think you probably feel the lack of friends since you are stuck in Waco! You need to come visit Houston, maybe for one of our Houston blogger meetups!
I totally get the class timing thing, having that schedule, despite sleeping in, eats away at your day a bit!

I know what you mean- when I went from teaching at 8:20 to 7:20, it was quite a life adjustment and it really did affect every part of my life, from sleeping to eating! But I do like getting out earlier.
