Dear Monday v.36

Linking up with Megan for Dear Monday and Meg for Mingle Monday!

Dear Monday, You started so early today for no apparent reason (apparently I wasn't tired?) that I had time to curl my hair, eat a hearty Cheerios breakfast, make and drink coffee, organize my bathroom cabinet, and still make it to work an hour early. Thanks for being a smooth transition to my week!

Dear Lauren, I'm so excited you're officially announcing your pregnancy! I've been dying to celebrate ever since you told me last month in Washington. I cannot wait to see your pregnancy blog posts! Go tell her congrats, friends!

Speaking of preggo Laurens...

Dear G-Unit, Please come out of your mom's uterus ASAP. Your due date was last week so I'm sure your mother is ready to not be pregnant anymore!

Dear Stats Class, Since Dr. K had a bad reaction to some oral surgery, he can't talk easily. That means you get me twice a day for 1.5 hours each all week. Suckas

Dear Blog Friends, For some reason, I felt super homesick this past weekend and had a "I have no friends, I miss WA!" day. What do you do when you're home alone on a Saturday night and feel like everybody and their mom is busy?

Happy Monday y'all! Here's hoping this week goes by slowly so I can prepare for my oral qualifying examination in two weeks!

I woke up super early this morning too! Crazy.

I love your new blog look!

Also, I have had a major "I have no friends" drama with myself lately. Common solution: painting my nails, magazines, feel good movie. Also, snacks.

Ugh, I had the same feeling this saturday too. My family is here but sometimes I feel like if I'm over at my parents house all the time, then I'm not letting them live their normal routines. All my friends are in Charlotte so it's a hard thing to balance. I've been reading a lot, and watching tons of trashy reality TV. I also have found that going for walks and doing things outside helps. And if all of the above fail, a milkshake seems to do the trick! Come visit Houston whenever you want!

I've never seen this link-up but think I want to partake next week!
When I'm all alone on a Saturday, I order in and rent some movies from the Red Box! It's pretty lame and obvious but hey, sometimes you need someone else to say it's okay to watch movies by yourself at home and I am A-Okay with being that person!

Why didn't you call/text/send a carrier pigeon to me Saturday? I read a book on the couch all evening while Travis played video games...

Couch! Movie! Wine!

Haha, I totally agree with Rachel! I'm adding "call someone you haven't talked to in awhile" to the list- definitely helps me feel less lonely!

Happy Monday!

Ugh! I used to despise that feeling when I was away in undergrad. That was before Skype was around so I would 'watch' a movie with someone over the phone. It sounds super corny looking back, but it helped at the time.

Happy Monday!

Mmmmmm... hearty cheerios breakfast.

Happy Monday! The weekend just flew didn't it?

Maybe a lazy Saturday night is what you needed? Either way, I can assure you, you seem to have lots of friends :) ...especially pregnant ones.

I stay home, drink some wine, order chinese food, and watch a bunch of movies. If I'm feeling super emotional, I make sure it's sobfest movies so I can get a good cry out ;) And yes, I did in fact do that this weekend!

You should host more link-up challenges so we can all show some more blog love!!

I used to watch my favorite comedy, and make something that my mom would normally make. ...or go shopping. That always seemed to help. :)

I get that homesick feeling once in awhile, and it stinks! I usually grab one of my favorite movies and pop that in. Because I Said So is a good one for those kinds of moods.
Good luck preparing for your exam!

Look at you getting stuff done bright & early on a Monday morning. I was the complete opposite, woke up late & got to work 1.5 hours late...oops.

Omg I just watched you friend Lauren's pregnancy announcement videos & I couldn't stop smiling. I dont even know who she is & I'm super excited for her.

As far as spending the night alone at home, I read a book or blogs. If no one's around to hang out with me in person then I always have my go-to friends, twitter :)
