15 Day Challenge: Day 10

Can you believe that the 15 Day Challenge is on the downswing? I love that so many of you have been opening up on your blogs, sharing tons of personal information and your hearts with us!

Today's challenge is brought to you by Jena, which shouldn't surprise you if you read her blog!

[Day 10]: What is your most embarrassing moment?

(Possibly related, her other suggestion was to describe your first kiss, so maybe she has a hilariously embarrassing first kiss story?! Do tell, Jena!)

I have only had one big "embarrassing" moment stick out in my life. I use quotations because it wouldn't be as embarrassing to me now, and I don't actually remember it being embarrassing at the time (it actually resulted in me getting a boyfriend), but it's my go-to story when people ask this question.

Plus, it involves Lou, one of my favorite bloggers and IRL friend!

The school district I attended had elementary school as grades 1-6, junior high 7-9, and high school 10-12. There were three junior highs in the district that fed into two high schools, thus my junior high split up into both high schools. Because the other junior high fed straight into the high school, students from each junior high got to meet a whole new crop of students from the other junior high.

Because I was a cheerleader, I was required to wear my uniform all day prior to big games or school events (yes, you can all see where this is going). The Friday of the second week of school was traditionally a pep rally day, which means we wore our uniforms all day and then performed at the assembly during the last period.

I should point out here that I had just started talking to a guy J who was in my world history class who was quite possibly cuter than any of the guys from my junior high.

After the pep rally, my friend Laura decided it would be fun to talk to J by his locker after school. She grabbed me by the hand and I hesitantly followed (although it was probably more like dragging, 'cuz although I spit a ton of game, I'm kind of shy in first interactions with Hottie McHottersons such as J). Laura dragged me throughout the hall, when Lou saw us coming and jokingly stuck out her foot in front of us.

Laura saw it. I did not.

I went falling for what seemed like eternity (but I'm 5'2, so it was probably around .4 seconds), then rolled over and landed with my backpack on the ground upsidedown-turtle-style, with my feet in the air propped up on a locker. In a cheer skirt.

J saw and made a joke and I was able to play it off (somehow!) and we ended up taking a walk and decided to "date" (whatever that meant in 10th grade). I tried to find a photo of us from a dance but I luckily couldn't find any off-hand.

Although it's not really embarrassing, it's probably the most "embarrassing" thing that has ever happened to me that I can remember. Maybe I'm just blessed with a short memory.

What's your most embarrassing moment? Here's hoping it doesn't involve a cheer skirt! Link up here:

Mine was in a performance rather than in the corridor but equally embarrassing as it was in front of a guy that I did have a crush on for like AGES!

Girl, I feel for you because this sounds like something that would have happened to me. Fortunately for this prompt I have several moments to choose from. Just have to figure out which one! :)

That was AMAZING! :) I've ate it in front of an entire group of sizzling hot seniors as a freshman. Yup, down the stairs, books everywhere, shirt over my bra...it was amazing. :)

Yes, you DO spit a ton of game, I'm pretty sure you get that from your dad. Does this story belong in the "Sarah falls for guy" category and is it Reason #23 why Sarah never had the top spot on the cheer pyramid? Great story and very well told!

I feel like a lot of us probably had that falling in high school awkward moment. I like yours though. At least it had a happy ending! :)

Bahaha! I know all too well what it's like to fall, landing with your legs up in the air. You poor thing.

I actually had a similar experience when I was 16, in Vegas. I thought I was grown up enough to wear platform heels, at the same time deciding it was a good idea to race my cousin down 3 flights of stairs at the Excalibur casino. My heel caught & I went rolling down a whole dozen stairs, legs in the air, undies being exposed to my dad & all 1000 people around haha., Needless to say I didnt win that race.

This is my least favorite question in the world, lol. But you have a good story for it! Couldn't have been too bad if you got a boy out of it. ;)
