15 Day Challenge: Day 13

After reading yesterday's post, there seems to be so much goodness in your lives for the next six months! We're all blessed for having such fulfilled lives.

Speaking of being blessed, yesterday I randomly got to meet up with Bri from Tiny Texan and E from Adventure of E! They're both currently living in Hawai'i so I was shocked when E said she was going to be driving from San Antonio to Dallas yesterday! I met them at Starbucks in Waco and had a nice little chat while rehydrating them (with caffeine, of course).

Now to the Challenge! Today's prompt:

[Day 13]: What are your favorites?

This prompt was meant to be vague, as we just want to know some of your favorite stuff! Write as many or as little as you want (as usual), just tell us some of your #1s!

Favorite quote:
It's from a Charles Swindoll's poem that ends with: "We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you: we are in charge of our Attitudes."

Favorite song off Jason Mraz's new album (in the extended playlist):

Favorite poem:
i thank You God for most this amazing
day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky;and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes

(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun's birthday;this is the birth
day of life and love and wings:and of the gay
great hapening illimitably earth)

how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any--lifted from the no
of all nothing--human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?

(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)
-e.e. cummings

Favorite food:
My mom's homemade macaroni and cheese. Final answer.

Favorite view:
The view from my parents' front porch has always been my fave:

Favorite curse word:
Shit.

Favorite new possession:
Hands down, my Erin Condren planner. I have been coveting this little baby for a while, but she just came yesterday and we are destined to be together.

What are some of your favorites? Link up here and tell us:

When you said yesterday that you were having the meet up - it never occurred to me that it was a "later today" I'm meeting these people. I thought it was like in the future at some point. That's even more exciting!

Jason Mraz is awesome.

Your Journal - I started eyeing them up on the website earlier - can I can justify that much money on a planner is the question lol.

Love your favorites, and I am still swooning over your planner. Your favorite curse word may be my favorite though, it was unexpected and amazing. Probably my favorite curse word too :)

I needed your favorite quote today too. Thanks for helping my attitude adjustment happen at 8:30 am instead of much later!

Haha! I had the song playing and my husband came up and started dancing around to it.

I love your quote.

Also, that is a lovely view from your parents' porch. Wow.

Wonder how I could send you mac & cheese? I don't recall reading that poem before, but it's beautiful. I've become a Mraz fan, too!

I love everything about this post! If I ever make my way down to Texas we will for sure be meeting up! And shit is my personal favorite as well ;)

Looooove e.e. cummings.

I also love that you put your favorite curse word. Shit is mine too! And damn. But only because my southern accent sneaks up on me. So it becomes more of a "da-yum."

For some reason, it makes me giggle to think of you saying "shit." :) I get the same thing from other people, though. Probably just because we're nice girls! Also love me some e.e. cummings. Annnnd jealous of your blogger meet up.

Is it too late to be a part of the challenge? Or can you join at anytime?

Mmmm, homemade mac & cheese pretty much can't be better. My Mamaw's recipe is a pretty darn amazing one too ;)

Question about your EC planner. I've been wanting one BUT when you order it in the middle of a year, how does it work? Does it start in January of '12 or July or what?!

also-I've never had homemade mac & cheese. Only kraft. I think I'm missing out.

seeeeee???? didn't your EC planner make you feel like Christmas Morning? and the company is so sweet. I told them on facebook how great is was and they personally responded. love them!

I love those EC planners! I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm definitely buying one of the wedding planners for my best friend who just got engaged!

Btw, that view is breathtaking.

I agree! If I had to eat only one thing for the rest of my life... It would likely be Mac and Cheese! Especially in the PacNW! Each restaurant makes it slightly different :)

Love E.E. Cummings! I've been on the fence about buying an Erin Condren planner... I keep hearing wonderful things about it but I just don't know if I can stomach the price w/o personally inspecting it first haha
