Friday was a pretty awesome day. Among other things, it was the last day of my first full week as a professor.
My previous students, Jasmyn and M'Lynn (you may remember them as the ones who wrote my name on their forehead) went out to dinner with me on Wednesday to celebrate M'Lynn's 20th birthday a little late. We had great conversation and got to spend some good quality time together before the craziness of the semester set in.
Friday after my statistics lecture, Jasmyn and M'Lynn showed up with a cake to celebrate my first full week. It was an unexpected surprise that made me tear up out of sheer joy and gratitude for two of the sweetest students ever.

Needless to say, I'm humbled.
Thank you to two of most heartfelt, compassionate students I've had the pleasure of teaching. To M'Lynn and Jasmyn, I'm forever grateful for your amazing attitudes, hilarious jokes, sweet hearts, and delicious cake.

I keep thinking about your post regarding give aways and whatnot, I've un-followed a few people because of it. I like hearing about people's lives and not what they're trying to sell!
