Sunday Social: Meet me!

Linking up with Ashley and Neely for another round of Sunday Social!

1. What's the name of your blog and how did you come up with it?
I don't actually remember...it used to be "Sar's in Texas" in a pun off "She's in Texas (and I'm Insane)" by Tumbledown, but when it became more about my life in general and less about how I had moved to Texas, it changed. I thought about Gratitude Attitude for a while, but I felt like [life of love] just fit me a little better (plus, I can have a gratitude attitude while living a life of love)!

2. What do you love most about blogging?
I feel like people always say the friendships, but I'm gonna have to agree! I love the blogging community, and how one blog post or tweet from a blogger can automatically make me fall in friendship love. For instance, Neely is coming to visit Steph and me in two weeks, and I can't wait!

3. What are your two favorite posts you've written?
Definitely my last two birthday posts. This year, I gave 26 gifts to 26 strangers to celebrate my birthday, and it was incredibly fun. Last year, I did some reflection and talked about 25 lessons I've learned in 25 years.

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world?
Blog for yourself, but interact with your readers. If you're interested in just getting out your thoughts, you would have chosen a journal instead of a blog. You're writing a blog to share your thoughts with others, so don't be shy in emailing your commenters back, going to others' blogs and leaving comments, or following fellow bloggers on Twitter. It's a community, so take advantage of it!

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
When you talk about the happy times you have with your boyfriend, you'll also feel obligated to tell your readers when you get dumped. Luckily, your amazing blogger friends will lift up your heart and help you through the rough times. I'm so grateful for this group of amazing women.

6. Give us 3 blogs we need to be following that you love.
First, my friend Lauren from college who is quite possibly the most crafty/graphic design-y/creative person I know. She writes a blog called One Thing, One Day, Everyday where she posts fun craft projects, printables, or home renovations (she's practically an interior decorator too).

Secondly, if you haven't ever visited Tamara at Lehmann Laughter, you are missing out. Tamara and I met when we both took an aerobics dance class at Baylor and then bonded over our mutual awesomeness (but it's more like her awesomeness that just rubs off on me). She's hilarious and fantastically entertaining, so you should check her out!

Lastly, Jena at Recently Roached is one of the best writers I know. She's witty, tells great stories, and is one of the most gorgeous people alive (and is one of those women who doesn't flaunt it, which is inspiring and friggin' awesome all in one). She also has hilarious tweets, which are my fave (it's private but ask to follow her!).

Happy Sunday, friends! Here's hoping it's full of relaxation, coffee, and plenty of love in your heart. Go visit Neely or Ashley's blog to read more Sunday Social posts!

I think some of my favorite posts were the 15 day challenge :)
Especially since I was new to blogging, it was great getting into the swing of things.
Happy Sunday! XoXo

The bloggging community is amazing. Honestly, there are times where I think blog friends are better friends than the people I know IRL haha. Also, loving your advice to knew bloggers. I wouldve said the exact same thing :)

Your blog was one of the 1st blogs that I fell in love with. I loved everything about it and the 15 Day Challenge has opened me up to a completely other side of blogging that I didn't know I was capable of. I was sharing things with people that I didn't even know and everyone was super supportive. I wanted to thank you for being my Gateway Blog I guess. :)

xoxo Amber
