Big shout-out to Syndal who came up with the most genius way to recap the weekend, with "This Weekend, I..."! (I'm currently trying to convince her to start a weekly link-up!)
This weekend, I had brunch with a lovely man (who happens to be Emily's cousin) that lasted three hours. I had a blast, plus he took me to a fantastic Portlandy restaurant in Dallas, did not make fun of me when I ate a meal at least 3x larger than his, and actually let me know when I had spinach in my teeth. Loved it.
This weekend, I drank a lot of beer (well, "a lot" for me, which probably only equates to 3 total 'cuz I'm small and I can't consume that much). Delicious.
This weekend, I attended Dallas BrewFest (a perfect way to kick off Oktoberfest beers) with Emily, who quite possibly is my favorite person ever. I think there were at least three times where she had me laughing so hard I had to hold onto a wall because I needed support. I love that woman.
This weekend, I accidentally drove through the Dallas Pride parade twice. Had it not been raining, I'm pretty sure Em and I would have parked and joined in the celebration. What a serendipitous turn of events after the Mariners/Rangers game was rain-delayed!
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend. I'm pretty sure I need to drive to Dallas much more often...for multiple reasons. :)

My mom, cousin (who is actually my mom's age), and I went to NYC for my high school graduation gift. And it just happened to be during Pride week, but we had no idea!
Then we see barricades set up everywhere and my cousin walks up to ask what was going on and they say, "Oh it's for the dyke march" She freaked out. Then the next day my cousin insisted that we avoid that street and go down another.. and we ended up right in the middle of the line up for the Pride Parade. It was awesome!
My mom insisted I take pictures with one of the many drag queens, but my cousin wouldn't let us stop because she was so mortified. I will never forget it. :P

So sad we didn't get together! My boyfriend's parents were in town, and it just didn't work out.
