Happy Thursday friends! You know what this means, right? It's almost the weekend! Whatcha thinking today?

My mommy comes to visit in two weeks. Eeeee! I'm completely excited, if you can't tell.

This weekend, I'm going to Dallas to visit Emily, watch the Mariners/Rangers game at a bar on Friday, and attend the Dallas BrewFest on Saturday. She also set me up with her cousin Nic (I know I know, unfortunate name) who is a funny (yay!) lawyer (nay...), so I'll keep you updated on how that goes. Plus the professor who I housesit for gave me free Rangers/Ms tickets (with a parking pass!) for Sunday, so I'll get to see that game in person! It's just going to be a rockin' weekend, I can feel it.

Speaking of dates, I have an OKC date with a guy named Nathan tonight. He's a West Point grad in the Army at Ft. Hood, cute, and hilarious (errr, via text). Play on, playa.

My bestie's birthday is next week and I have no idea what to get her. Any ideas? [No reading the comments, Liz!]

I give my first exam at UMHB today in my experimental design class, and then my first Baylor exam on Friday. Is it okay to say I'm totally psyched?! I'm pretty sure this qualifies me as a Geek. And I'm sooo okay with that.

I love gift basket-esque gifts. Like a related grouping of small things. I gave my bestie a reading related package for her birthday this year! (a book, a cute bookmark, some hot tea, cute posted note set)
