This Weekend, I... v.6

Life of Love

It's time for another edition of TWI! Link up with me or Syndal to join in!

This weekend, I started it off with a bang (err, or lack thereof!) by getting a haircut. You can barely tell, except the ends are so much healthier now. Shoutout to Jess who introduced me to Casey, my new Waco hairstylist. Love it!

This weekend, I had a glorious Friday evening date with RP3. First, we went to grab drinks with TPH  and my friend Sarah. Then, we went back to my place to make dinner for Drew and Paige. We had a fun night laughing with friends, telling stories, and just being. My favorite type of evenings!

This weekend, I went to watch Paige perform in one of her MA recitals. You can't tell what she looks like here because there were so many lights on her, but she was stunning in a gorgeous long navy dress with her hair pulled back. She's playing the piccolo in the photo below, which she also did flawlessly. I'm always in awe of those with musical talent, and Paige blew me away!

This weekend, I gave Drew (Paige's boyfriend and RP3's bestie) my lab coat that I haven't used since my neuroanatomy class in fall of 2009. Feast your eyes on quite possibly the best photograph ever:

This weekend, I participated in my third Habitat for Humanity build. I wore entirely too many clothes, as my first two builds were actually setting the house frame. This time, I was inside and got to do a job I rock at: caulking. You can thank my dad for my awesome handiwoman skills, and since attention to detail is one of my main attributes, it was the perfect job for me. I caulked three door frames (both sides of the door, all cracks, nail holes, and the frame to the wall) in three hours. I'm sure a pro takes like, 20 minutes, but I wanted to make it nice. I'm pretty sure the messier you end up after doing work, the better you did it.

After my Habitat build (and while my hands were still covered in caulk), this weekend, I went on a photoshoot with Stephanie and her husband Mathew. Check out these photos of this gorgeous couple:

(There was also a little hay fight, so I kind of love Stephanie's face in the second one.)

This weekend, I finally got a desk for my back room. Now I need a rug and chair! I'm thinking Pier One for the chair, but where would you suggest rugs? Help a sista out!

What'd you do this weekend? Link up and tell us!

RugsUSA.com is a great place! They always have good deals, and if you watch Groupon Goods, they often have one for Rugs USA!

I highly recommend going to flash-sale websites like Joss&Main or One Kings Lane for rugs. Typically they're very high quality rugs 60 - 70% off retail! Especially if you're looking for a smaller rug--you can find a beautiful merino wool rug for less than $100. Happy hunting!

Sounds like you had an awesome weekend. You rock at caulking! I miss the days of school where you had all those people around you to hang out with all the time. Sigh.

World Market for rugs!!! Plus if you are a member (free) you get all kinds of discounts. Maybe they don't have those in Waco?

Sounds like an awesome weekend!

Love the trim! Don't they make a WORLD of difference?!

Also, PS, I started watching Revenge...you're right, it's darn good.

The pictures from the photoshoot look good! Very natural and fun. I hate when couples try too hard to look "perfect" and magazine-like in their photos.

Those pictures look great!! And for a rug, try Home Goods or Garden Ridge (do they have those in Texas??).
