Happy Thursday friends! I'm gonna continue doing Thursday Thoughts but I'm no longer going to have a link-up. It's been a while (over 9 months!) and I think I'm a little burnt out, but feel free to continue writing yours!

To start off, I recently participated in Chelsea and Hollie's inspirational card swap and was paired up with Amanda, who I'm 95% confident is my soul sister. Reading her blog, I found myself nodding, smiling, or wanting to hug her while saying "Oh my gosh, that's me!" It's weird and awesome. We were supposed to send one card to the other person as inspiration, and both Amanda and I kind of bent the rules. Amanda went above and beyond as a swap partner and took some of my Instagram photos from my blog (I spy Baylor, the view from my parents' house, my mantel, the Brazos river, and more!) then put some of her favorite quotes, some of my favorite quotes, and a poem or two on them. This was in addition to the sweet card she sent me with some lovely words (she's clearly a writer!). Yeah, be jealous, my swap partner > your swap partner.

So glad you all loved Kelly and Matt's story yesterday! If you haven't checked out her blog yet, I totally recommend it. I spent all yesterday searching through the archives, smiling and wishing we were best friends, plus they just got their engagement photos back and they're beautiful!

I know I'm a little behind on the times, but I love Spotify (thanks, Em!). I do not love that I have to have a Facebook (grumble, grumble) to use Spotify. Don't worry, I made a fake Facebook with an old hotmail email account so I could get around having to reactivate my actual Facebook. Winning!

RP3 is coming to Waco tomorrow to visit, and I'm psyched to see his face again (err, in person and not on a computer screen). I think I'm cooking dinner; what should I make? Any suggestions?
My class has an exam in an hour and a half, so I'm wasting time until then by re-reading my dissertation prospectus and groaning over having to fix it. Life of a grad student, right? Hope your week is wrapping up quite nicely!

You're so popular over the blogosphere, dear! Everyone wants to be your friend. I need to get better about finding these link-up things. That card swap sounds so fun!
And what, you don't have a FB? lol.
Spotify is the shizz. So much better than Pandora!
Chicken parmesan is easy peasy if you buy frozen chicken and looks pretty impressive. You can pair it with salad, pasta, and garlic bread, but only if you both eat the garlic bread, or else one of you will think the other has stinky breath :)
I hope you and the man friend have a good weekend! I love your face!
Those instagram photo/quotes from Amanda are amazing! How cool is that :) I think I might have to swip that idea!
Oh I did mine too ready to link up with you. That is cool though. I will keep doing it and sharing with you if you are okay with that.

Yeah for RP3 coming to Waco. JBK is coming this weekend too. :)
I say make his favorite food. :)
haha!! You're too sweet, with the shout outs!
I have to say, every time I hear RP3 I instantly picture C3PO. super normal, yes? I don't even like Star Wars. Same can be said for RG3. Makes me giggle.
Love the idea for using your instagram photos!
Also, I say cook something you are confident about so you aren't fumbling or worried it will taste awful. That way you can just relax :) Or you can do the opposite and be like me cooking for my husband for a "date night in" and make something new that turns out HORRIBLE so you laugh really hard and then eat take out. I mean, either one ;)
I totally second chicken parm! my hubby loves when I make it. I hope we can hang out again soon!!!
I agree with Abbey! Chicken parm is amazing.... :-)
LOVE those instagram photos. That is such a neat idea!!
My boyfriend's mom has her meeting thing where they ask her questions on her dissertation and such this week. She's so nervous!
I'd ask what your dissertation's on but I guarantee you it will go over my non-science brain!
Wow, Amanda really out did herself with those cards cause that's pretty awesome. Dont have too many suggestions on what you could cook for RP3 cause I just ate lunch & thinking about food is making want to throw up a little bit. Whatever you go with I'm sure he'll love since well, you'll be eating it together ;)
Amanda did such a great job! What an awesome swap partner. Seriously, jelly. [I swear I don't say that in real life, but feel like it's completely appropriate here. Jelly. Haha]
You can always do spaghetti! It's relatively easy and you throw a salad with some garlic bread in with it - wha la! Through some croutons on that salad so you look classy though.
Nobody likes crouton-less salads.
OH with garlic bread, if you use hot dog buns it actually looks like breadsticks. I did this for the husband [first meal i made him was spaghetti] and he still talks about it. Totally over 10 years ago too.
So RP3 is an online guy, right? Eeeeeee!! This is exciting business. ;)
I love Spotify too!! Love love love.
Enjoy RP3 visit!1 Can't wait to heyar how it goes.
There are lots of yummy recipes on my blog! My fave these days is the chicken enchilada bake... & the soups!
Um...what is spotify?
Yay for RP3 coming to visit! Hope you have an amazing weekend dearest :)
Forgot to mention I LOVE those cards! How creative AND thoughtful.
Love those cards, what a sweet gift! :)
Amanda is the freakin cutest! I'm so happy you two got paired together...you two weren't in my section to pair up haha :)
I loooooove what Amanda did to your instagram pics. I can't wait to see your card to her!
Thanks for linking up and for participating in the swap. It means a lot to me :)
Happy Friday!
