Thankful Thursday 11/1

Thankful Thursday

Because it's November, the month of gratitude and giving thanks, Meghan at Shine On and I decided to host a weekly Thursday link-up for the next five weeks where all we do is talk about things we're grateful for the previous week. Easy peasy and totally good for the soul, right? Join in below!

[one]
I'm grateful for a class that will have fun with me when I want to start off the period with a clip from Ellen instead of a review from Chapter 11. Nothing says Halloween awesome like this video (I've seen this at least 12 times this year and it still makes me cry from laughing so hard).

(If you can't tell, that's a massive projected screen. The big white thing at the bottom is an electric white board.)

[two]
I'm grateful for a mom who holds onto the weirdest memories (and creepiest little kid stuff):

[three]
I'm so thankful for copious amounts of photos that my sister-in-love and mother sent me of my niece and nephew in Halloween costumes. It makes me feel like I'm at least emotionally close when I can't be physically close.

[four]
I'm grateful fo the 6 men who immediately emailed me back saying they would participate in the second half of my study, the in-person EEG. Considering I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a lot of EEGs this semester, I'm feeling productive to say the least.

[five]
I'm incredibly thankful for internet streaming! RP3 had an orchestra concert last night and considering he lives in Austin (2 hours away), I couldn't make the drive to make it in time after my second EEG. Awesomely, however, UT streams their concerts online! (My mom said, "He's the guy wearing black, right?" Bwaaahahaha!)

What are you grateful for? Link up and tell us!

Love this idea. (Will definitely have to participate next week!)
Love all this about RP3. You deserve to finally find someone worth your time! But is it weird that every time I see RP3, I think Ron Paul III? I was never even a huge fan of Ron Paul! It just popped in my head one day..
And I LOVE the note from your mom. I seriously laughed so hard when you tweeted it the other day. I secretly hope she makes you a tooth necklace for Christmas.

Your mom's note cracks me up! Seriously though, what DO you do with all those baby teeth? My mom still has some of mine, and I think its gross. However, I'm sure in twenty years I'll still have my kiddos as well. . unless I make them take them when they move out. Ha ha j/k.

I'm grateful for a witty sister -- and notice how she doesn't want to spill the beans on the Tooth Fairy! I recently trashed all but 2 of our children's teeth (kept 1 of each), but don't know why I kept any. The mom linked below has an hilarious blog on the tooth dilemma:

I love Thankful Thursday! You are seriously one of the most sincere & sweetest people so totally makes sense.
Your mom is awesome. Also, on the teeth thing - when I was in high school I worked part time at a vet clinic [purdy cool, right?] and the first time I helped declaw a cat [and remove a few bad teeth] the vet assistant was like "Do you want to keep them as a momento and make a necklace since this is your first? That's what I did."
Totally creepy. And I totally didn't.

Pretty much anything Ellen is involved with makes me laugh! Hope you were able to see the special in honor of her winning the Mark Twain Prize for humor. Hilarious!
