Confession: I'm not a huge Valentine's Day fan.
Don't get me wrong; I love love--I mean, my blog title is "life of love" after all. But I've always felt that Valentine's Day forces couples to have this overly showy, extrinsically motivated confession of love for others' benefits. Not my style, yo.
That being said, I hate living 2200 miles away from my family (and RP3's about 2000 away from his as well). So we decided to send them a little love.
First, take photos of you or your loved one (RP3 sent some to his fam too!) looking ridiculous (e.g. excited, happy, ready to send some February cheer) with a fist out. If I were to do this again, I'd make the picture such that RP3 and I were both in the left side of the picture (more room for the lollipop at the end)!
Him (I didn't actually have the watermark on the photos we sent our loved ones, no worries):
Me:
Then with an exacto knife (or a pair of scissors, or a paring knife...I'm pretty sure all would work), cut a line above and below the fist.
Then, put your lollipop through the cuts so that the end and the tops were on the front side of the picture. We also used whoopie cushions ($3 for a set of 4 at Target in the party favors section) to send to the boys.

We wanted to personalize them, so we wrote on the backs of all of them. Clearly this one was for a whoopie cushion card!

And that was it! Easy peasy lemon squeezy, you got yourself some nice lookin', personalized, cheap Valentines!
What are you giving away as Valentines this year?
