It's Monday, so you know what that means! Link up your weekend recaps (TWI style) below or with Syndal!
This weekend, I got to see Syndal's post about sending out some cookies to her new neighbors now that her and Pete just bought a house! We chatted via email and I came up with this quick design for them to include with the cookies as a neighborhood introduction. Aren't they cute?!
Clearly not their real address!
This weekend, I went to Fredericksburg, TX with Mr. 3000 to see a little more of Texas. We were planning on wine tasting, as there's a bunch of cute wineries on the town's outskirts, but we actually ended up at a brewery:
Delicious! On the way home, we stopped at Das Peach Haus, a store that sells Fischer and Wieser jelly, jam, and preserves (along with some other food products like bread mix, flour, and my fave: wine). We picked up some strawberry jam and preserves, and holy moly, it was delicious.
They also had salmon they were grilling on the back patio, and free cheese all over the place. Seriously, my kind of place.
This weekend, we sung a lot of boy band songs (BSB and 'N SYNC) and was delightfully surprised that M knew more BSB lyrics than I do. Fabulous.
After the day trip to Fredericksburg, this weekend, we watched a lot football. We headed over to M's friend Jake's house (who used to be a college football player) and watched the A&M/Alabama game while consuming beer and playing with a sweet baby. We then went back to his place and watched the Oregon State/Utah game and grabbed some Chinese food for dinner. I did a lot of cuddling with this dude:
This weekend, I took Sunday slow and did some craft projects for gifts for my bestie Jess's shower in October (woot!). Then headed out for a walk before watching the Seahawks/49ers game. I was just talking about how great the Seattle weather when we turned on the game to see a weather delay due to lightning. Cool. Somehow, I used my feminine wiles (read: offering beer) to get M to watch the Miss America pageant while we waited. My favorite quote of the night: "My talent was going to be archery but there's a clause banning projectile objects." Amen, Miss Kansas!
And that's what I did this weekend! What about you? Link up below and let us know!
